Chapter 3 - W.W. - What to do with the Writer

During the second life of my first two avatars, I acquired a really good friend W. W.  We met while I was Indigo Starship.
As my typical self, I was following the SL winds via teleport.  My friend R.W. logged on and I decide to go see her at her club China Red's.  As soon as I rezzed I noticed R.W. talking to a handsome avatar W.W., I of course read his profile.  He was a writer, explorer and single, of course that peeked my interest, I love intelligence.  One thing I did notice, he was not looking for an SL or RL relationship.  This was something I just sort of disregarded, simply because I love a challenge.
Of course me being the clown I am, R.W. introduced us, the first thing I said, "was do you know that when you get your new avatar, you don't have nipples".  Just so happened I was at Sexy Nude Beach, took my clothes off, because I was asked, I tend to be rather compliant, also impulsive, which gets me into trouble.  In the process of telling my story of how a complete stranger gave me nipples, I friended W. W.
For the first couple of days I just kept at bay, even though I wanted him, I wanted his story, the meat, and the dirt.  So I immed him with a questions, then we started hanging out, going to yet again, my favorite club at the time, Deranged.
As I review my Second Life I have come to the realization that Deranged was a big part of my life, what is the most ironic, is I never met anyone there, but I always took my dates there.
While time was marching on, I do believe I became seriously attached to W. W., to the point of loving him.  During this time W. W. and I did not have sex but we talked about it almost every time we were together, the push for it was very strong, but there was always this huge red flag the no SL or RL relationship.  After all my disastrous sexual situations I was not going to have sex with anyone without SL commitment.
Sometimes when I need to make decisions in life, I head to the sea, as far as W. W. was concerned, I headed to the sea.  The sea for me, the pan handle of Florida, I left my home on Saturday at 1 PM and drove eight straight hours to Fort Walton Beach, home of the Gulfarium.
About half way down in Alabama, I was flying down the highway at 80, my usual speed, and I was pulled over by Alabama State Patrol, I was for sure I was busted for speeding. Seems I wasn't wearing my seatbelt properly, I put it under my arm while driving, I hate having it against my neck.  I apologized profusely and I got out of a ticket, as he was walking away he said and I won't give you a ticket for going 80 in a 55.  Not totally sure why I got out of those tickets.
Late in the evening I arrived at the sea, found a cheap hotel, and crashed.   The next day I went to the Gulfarium, saw the dolphin shows, then I found a beach, stuck my feet in the sea, got back in my car and drove home.  I love the ocean, the smell, the rough hot sand, but I hate sharks, my fear is very real, I will not stand in water deeper than my feet.
This is not the first time or the last time since I started my Second life that i have made the journey to the sea.  I decided that the only relationship I would pursue with W.W. was friendship, and that even though my feelings were very strong for him, he could not return them.  When I returned home I discussed this with W.W. and as he always was, a complete gentleman, he understood.  We remained very good friends still hanging out, we even rented a castle together, and we still remain very good friends.
So many great stories contain W.W. and he will be included in the other chapters of my Second life, because he was an integral part of my life.
There are some people in your life that give you sound excellent advice; W.W. advices "treat it as a game".   Unfortunately at the time, I didn't see it that way.
